What began as a passion project in 2014 as the first online magazine for Filipino millennials has now grown to be a chronicle of this generation’s struggles and triumphs.
Instead of pictures, our selfies come in the form of multimedia stories.
Toni has over 15 years experience in news media, advocacy and development communication, and brand and corporate communications.
He leads the Corporate Media Influence team of Ogilvy Philippines. Previously, he was Media and Communications Officer of international NGO Save the Children, after his more than five-year stint in GMA News and Public Affairs, where he last served as Executive News Producer.

JM is presently a News Producer of New Day and The Source on CNN Philippines. He also serves as an Assistant Professor in iACADEMY, teaching scripwriting, film language, new media and mentoring thesis projects.

Lian Nami Buan
Lian is among the founding members of SubSelfie.com. She is a multimedia reporter too for Rappler, covering the Justice Beat. For SubSelfie.com, Lian leads the #SubStory and #TanawMindanao segments.
She was a news producer for GMA News for six years before she moved to England to take up her Masters in Digital Journalism at the Goldsmiths University of London.
Her areas of journalistic interests include human rights, particularly indigenous people, women and migration. Whenever she has money, she travels to collect feelings for writing material. Journalism 2010, UST.
Founder and Editor
Bam is the founder of SubSelfie.com and writes from time to time as a guest contributor.
He is a Senior News Correspondent and News Anchor for GMA News (2012). He was also part of the team that won GMA News the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award for the news coverage of super typhoon Yolanda (2013).

Kenneth is a strategist, storyteller and humanitarian. Previously, he was the audience engagement and analytics lead at the Geneva-based The New Humanitarian, an independent non-profit news organisation reporting on humanitarian crises around the world, after several years working with Save the Children and the Red Cross in media, communication, and marketing roles.
From Manila, Kenneth has lived and worked in Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Ephraim is an Executive Producer for CNN Philippines. He handles the daily newscast Balitaan Kasama si Pinky Webb.
Ephraim used to be an executive producer for GMA Network and a correspondent for the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Hon Sophia Balod
Sophia is also Editor in Chief and Outreach Manager for the Seafood Trade Intelligence Portal and foreign correspondent for GMA News. She graduated from the Mundus Journalism Masters Programme in University of Amsterdam in 2018.
She is the recipient of the 2019 Outstanding Media Award given by the Media Correspondent and Volunteer Organization (MCVO) in The Hague, The Netherlands. She is a media fellow of the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism and recipient of 2016 Gawad Agong and Sarihay Media Awards for Excellence in News Reporting on the plight of indigenous people and environmental issues. Apple is the Creative Team Lead for PayMaya, the leading digital financial services provider in the country. She was previously a Media Relations Manager for Ogilvy Philippines and an interview and field producer for GMA News programs Quick Response Team and News to Go. She was also a producer of lifestyle TV shows and documentaries.

Tricia is as a news Executive Producer for CNN Philippines. Formerly a Communications Officer in Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders), she spent 11 years working as a television news reporter and anchor in one of the major news networks in the Philippines.
Tricia graduated with her Master’s in Psychology from the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 2019.
Dawnavie is a producer from the Philippines. She previously worked for GMA News and Public Affairs. She now produces documentaries and multi-platform media content for ABS-CBN.
Jervis is a reporter of ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs. He is also teaching broadcast media courses at the Department of Media and Communication, Trinity University of Asia.
He is also an advicate of press freedom and media literacy. Outside work, he goes on outdoor adventures with the Travel Factor group. He has also written theatre plays for Short and Sweet Manila.
Justin is the current GMA News Social Media Manager. He leads the News Social Media team in the execution of daily operations and the production of digital video initiatives.
Under his helm, the GMA News Facebook page became the most-engaged Facebook page by a Philippine media company. This, as well as the GMA News Facebook and YouTube pages becoming leaders in video viewership in the country.
Gerald Gloton is a Crisis Team Officer and visual story teller. Gerald is impassioned in capturing moments from field assignments and framing portraits of his subjects who have various messages for the world to witness.
Sheena Kristine Cases
Sheena Kristine is a data analyst and a knowledge manager who is an advocate by heart. She believes in working with a purpose and for a cause greater than ourselves.
As a person who deals with a mood disorder, Sheena Kristine loves to write about Mental Health and General Psychology to help others learn from her experiences.
Most of her professional career was also devoted to the academe and international NGOs like Save the Children and Oxfam to seek and share knowledge. She had been a volunteer for Victory Church since 2010 doing various functions. She holds a B.S. Economics and an M.A. Demography degree from U.P. Diliman. Thus, she is also passionate to write about development.
Kristoffer is a public historian working for the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. He has been serving in government for almost a decade, having worked as cultural officer for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (2011-2013), and as history researcher for the Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines (2013-2016).
He runs the blog Indiohistorian, and does active history writing on social media. He is finishing his masteral studies in History at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, pursuing research on the history of government institutions.
Aries has written textbooks on grammar and creative nonfiction and is currently an executive assistant at the Office of the Executive Director of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) – Central Luzon Campus.
He was formerly Chief of the Curriculum and Instruction Division and adviser of the school paper The Central Scholar. He studied Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English at Philippine Normal University, Manila.
Marvin M. Enderes
Marvin teaches Education and English courses at the Macau Anglican College in Macau.
The United Federation of Filipino–American Educators conferred on him the International Educator Award of Excellence and the Influential Teacher of the Year award in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Marvin finished Secondary Education Major in English at the Philippine Normal University Manila, which bestowed him the Graciano Lopez Jaena Award in Journalism in 2003, and where he was former editor-in-chief of the student paper The TORCH Publications.
