GRACE, the final work by renowned playwright Floy Quintos, is returning to the stage this September at the Arete for a limited run.

After receiving 18 standing ovations during its premiere, the play is highly anticipated. Tatler Asia called it “one of the finest, thought-provoking straight plays of 2024,” with other critics agreeing.

The play tells a fictionalized story inspired by the alleged apparitions of Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace, at Lipa Carmel in 1948, along with the miracles and controversies surrounding these events. GRACE features a stellar cast including Stella Cañete-Mendoza, Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino, Frances Makil-Ignacio, Missy Maramara, Matel Patayon, Leo Rialp, Dennis Marasigan, Nelsito Gomez, Jojo Cayabyab, and Raphne Catorce.

Directed by Dexter M. Santos, a long-time collaborator of Quintos, the production is supported by an esteemed artistic team: Mitoy Sta. Ana (Production Designer), John Batalla (Lighting Designer), Steven Tansiongco (Graphic and Video Designer), Arvy Dimaculangan (Music and Sound Designer), Mikko Angeles (Assistant Director), Marvin Olaes (Dramaturg), Davidson Oliveros (Dramaturg), and Meliton Roxas, Jr. (Technical Director).

Over the past 11 years, Quintos and Santos have created many memorable works in Philippine Theatre, including Collection, Ang Nawalang Kapatid, Ang Huling Lagda ni Apolinario Mabini, Angry Christ, The Kundiman Party, and The Reconciliation Dinner. GRACE is Quintos’ final masterpiece.

GRACE will run for two weekends only: Fridays at 7 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 PM and 7 PM, from September 6 to 15 at the Doreen Black Box Theater, Areté, Ateneo De Manila University, Quezon City.
