Yup! Pink is officially back! Prime Video announced that Elle, the Legally Blonde prequel from Hello Sunshine and Amazon MGM Studios, premieres July 1. Set to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide, the series has already earned an early Season Two renewal ahead of its debut.

Before Harvard and the courtroom mic drops, Elle takes viewers back to Elle Woods’ high school days, exploring the formative moments, friendships, and challenges that shaped her into the confident, kind, and unstoppable woman fans know and love from the original Legally Blonde film.
“Twenty-five years after the world met Elle Woods for the first time, it’s a dream come true to finally tell the story of how she became who she is,” said Reese Witherspoon. “Watching Lexi Minetree step into Elle’s fabulous shoes has been incredibly special. At its heart, this series is about kindness, authenticity, and believing in yourself—and I think those themes will resonate with longtime fans and a whole new generation. Bringing Elle’s high school journey to life has been pure joy, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience Season One as we head into Season Two.”
“Elle captures the heart, optimism, and confidence that made Elle Woods a cultural icon, while offering a fresh, deeply personal coming-of-age story,” said Peter Friedlander, Global Head of Television, Amazon MGM Studios. “The early Season Two renewal reflects our belief in the creative vision behind the series and the incredible team bringing it to life.”
Created by Laura Kittrell (High School, Insecure), Elle is co-showrun and executive produced by Kittrell alongside Caroline Dries. Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Marc Platt, and Amanda Brown also serve as executive producers. Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) directed the first two episodes of Season One and is an executive producer on the series.
The Season One cast stars Lexi Minetree as Elle Woods, with June Diane Raphael as her mother Eva and Tom Everett Scott as her father Wyatt. The ensemble also includes Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, Chandler Kinney, and Zac Looker. Recurring cast members include Jessica Belkin, Logan Shroyer, Amy Pietz, Matt Ober, Chloe Wepper, David Burtka, Brad Harder, Kayla Maisonet, Lisa Yamada, and James Van Der Beek.
From high school hallways to self-discovery moments, Elle brings a fresh lens to a beloved character—proving that confidence, compassion, and a little pink power never go out of style.
