Prepare lots of tissues and be ready to get your hearts broken as Barefoot Theatre Collective will be bringing Jason Robert Brown’s hit musical The Last Five Years on local stage this September and October.

The emotionally-charged musical tells in two intersecting timelines the story of aspiring Broadway star Cathy and promising writer Jamie, and how their relationship runs its course for five years.

The lead roles will be played on stage by real life married couple and veteran artists Gab Pangilinan and Myke Salomon. Both are also known for their stellar performance in Pat Valera and William Elvin Manzano’s Mula sa Buwan, where they played the role of Roxane and Cyrano.

Actor, director and producer Topper Fabregas is slated to direct this two-hander with musical direction by Rony Fortich.

The Last Five Years will run from September 29 to October 15 at the PMC Spotlight Blackbox Theater, Circuit Makati. Tickets for the first five shows for its exclusive opening weekend from September 29 to October 1 will be on sale from July 30 to July 28 via bit.ly/first5shows.

Tickets to opening weekend comes with a special opening weekend rate (P3,000 instead of P3,200 for Gold and P2,500 instead of P2,700 for Silver), 1 complimentary drink, and 1 poster signed by the cast.

Meanwhile, tickets shall be available thru TICKET2ME.NET and showbuyers starting July 29. Make sure to secure yours as there will only be 200+ tickets per show.
